The Sheridan Stage School was established 11 years ago and offers classes in all aspects of the performing arts. The school is now firmly recognised as a drama centre for young people who wish to explore both their imaginations and creative abilities.

We operate weekly classes during term time and run a wide range of summer courses. Classes are open to all ages and are led by fully qualified teachers who have a unique combination of experience in both practical application and theoretical expertise.

The Sheridan Stage School aims to encourage young people to develop confidence by enhancing communication skills. Throughdrama, voice training and public performance students will gain positive self esteem and develop a wide range of theatrical skills.

Why Drama?
Drama is of value to everyone, not only to those who wish to become performers. It improves and develops confidence, awareness, expression, concentration and problem solving. It teaches the valuable skills needed for work and leisure: interaction with others, creativity, spontaneity and adaptability. It also enhances social bonding and promotes co-operation & consideration for others.

Students may enter:

  • Local & Regional Festivals

Short Play Festival
It is essential to promote our students acting, directing, technical and artistic skills. This term all Senior Students will participate in our own in-house Short Play Festival. Students will choose, rehearse and perform their short plays in front of their friends and family. A panel of judges (all of whom are theatre professionals) will allocate awards in various categories.
